A Time For Music 37, the annual HASC concert benefiting people with special needs, was once again a spectacular and sold-out event on Sunday.
Held at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the concert was produced by Shloime Steinmetz of the Pivot Group and staging and content by Esti Kook. Mendy Hershkowitz and Yuval Stupel directed it.
The concert, which ran for 4 hours, featured Jewish music legends Avraham Fried and Abie Rotenberg, along with Shulem Lemmer, Alex Clare, Benny Friedman, Mordechai Shapiro, Baruch Levine, Ari Hill, Matt Dubb and Shulem Bernholtz.
It was emceed by radio personality Nochum Segal and included a special tribute and solidarity with the people of the holy land of Israel as they battle their enemies in Gaza.
One moving performance featured imagery of the Nazi Holocaust in Europe and the similar fear that some in Israel are experiencing on a daily basis. The multimedia presentations were done by Shmuel Benharoush and Chaim Vaaknin of the Visual Live company.
Other memorable moments were the tributes to Sheya Mendlowitz, longtime producer of the HASC concerts, and the late singer Dedi Graucher.
