February 6, 2010 5:15 pm

Your comment is as creative and humorous as your video, and yeah right I’m sure your very sad it’s so like you. From one Jew to another your AWESOME!

February 6, 2010 12:44 pm

Hi everybody
Thanks for the condolences on my failure to make it to the top three, I very much appreciate it.! I doubt the judges are reading the comments but if they are, thanks for the constructive criticism, and from one chohain to another, ill be glad to once again do background vocals on your next chassidish album.
Looking forward to entertaining the fans on upcoming projects. all the best.
‘Lo Yemalet’

Go Avrom
February 6, 2010 12:14 pm

can’t wait for the concert!! i’ll be there and hope ohayon win!
for me he is way above the 2

February 6, 2010 12:04 pm

shucky sadon won he is thee best

good show
February 6, 2010 7:46 am

It seemed like the judges were trying to copy simon cowell from american idol, was quite funny to watch

Bad idea for judges
February 6, 2010 7:04 am

This should not have gone to the judges. The winners should have been chosen on our votes alone. WE are going to enjoy (or sit through) the concert on OUR dime, unlike the judges who are either performing or will undoubtedly get a free pass.

Just because I enjoy Avremel and Mendy’s work does not mean I want to hear the same music as they like; I doubt I eat the same food as they do or use the same brand of deodorant either for that matter :).

February 5, 2010 11:24 pm

Notice how the bottle of Coke wasnt touched the whole time

Avraham Moshe
February 5, 2010 10:59 am

I wounder who is going to win

"א גואיש(ע) סטאר"
February 5, 2010 9:16 am

Maybe this would be a better name, according to the way it was judged….

Good idea!!!
February 5, 2010 8:34 am

i hope they do that

February 5, 2010 8:15 am

those were all my top 3 pics!!! the best choices by far!! the judges were awesome!! it’s what we call CONSTRUCTIVE criticism ! A.F. was right om target and pelin was hilarious! i’m sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for Ohayon’s c.d.!!!!!!!!! i listen to his song like every day!!!! ( the only other guy i woul’ve chosen was grunblat! he’s really good too!) too bad there were no american winners! oh well!

Go Baruch Shalom!!!
February 5, 2010 8:03 am

Im making a suggestion to the Jewish Star competition. A surprise performance from BSB would be more than welcome on march 7th

To 157 & 164 / Gershon=157164
February 5, 2010 7:49 am

Sorry Gershon you seem like a nice guy but the voice I don’t know about.
I think you should trust Avremel’s opinion on vocals over the other two.

140 is SPOT ON!
February 5, 2010 7:42 am

“Averemel kept commenting about people who should have remained true to the Chassidishe flavor of a nigun but then chose 2 excellent pop stars?”

But this can be explained. The two pop stars are not “eigeneh” and so he did not judge them for their genre choice. Lehr and BS look like LFB’s (Lubies from birth) and so there is disapointment to see them pasturing in strange waters.

A transcript of AF’s statements should be made and studied in yeshivos worldwide: Sichos chulin shel talmidei chachamim tzrichim limud!”

February 5, 2010 7:39 am

with the 3 that were chosen ,You have one who is distinctly different, fresh and exciting , possibly a new genre in jewish media and then you have 2 quiet similar ,with one of them having a slight edge over the other one because his ablity to go from singing to falceto beautifully and that shows he’s had training without a doubt And now for my prediction, if the band can pull of the new fresh sound, and the audiance goes nuts then he has a great chance of winning, however if the audiance sticks to the tried and true… Read more »

February 5, 2010 7:37 am

To 136 That’s how I saw it as well, AF was disappointed, he was expecting him to do something serious. But he was not serious about the competition at all he just wanted to have some fun so he put out that funny video (which was actually very creative). I know AF and I know BSB and I know that AF thinks highly of his talent. I just saw on the CD cover of AF’s earlier Chabad music album and BSB is in his kids choir so he probably knows him for a quite a while. TO BSB: If you… Read more »

Go Gershon!
February 5, 2010 7:25 am

157 – I agree. Gershon was the one semi-finalist I thought was actually vocally absolutely stunning. He has a big voice and I disagree with Avremele. I thought hit the highs very strongly. I hope he doesn’t give up. I would buy his CD any day.

It wasn't Grunblatt's voice that put the judges to sleep
February 5, 2010 7:11 am

It was the song

Mendel Engel
February 5, 2010 7:01 am

I loved the comments of the judges, a lot of them were on the ball. I do not see anything wrong with Choni Grunblatt’s performance, video could have been improved (but is that what the judges judge? well maybe). I do not see why the the judges went wild over Avraham Ohayon. Although, I listened again after their comments and noticed a uniqueness to his voice. Maybe I’m bias because I did not enjoy the song. Choni and Gershon you are by far the runner-ups and I am not so sure that there was antiquate reason to leave you guys… Read more »

February 5, 2010 6:58 am

shuky you did a good job at singing just to now that you are a winer .go shuky.

Michael made some very valid points
February 5, 2010 6:51 am

Stop nit picking and highlighting the comments michael made Derech Agav, You know full well that those comments were made in passing and had nothing to do with his or any of the other judges over all opinon their suggestions should be accepted as helpfull advice they did more than what was expected of them. And I would love to hear them comment on all the others aswell All the contestants did a phenominal job and for their efforts they deserve to have the judges hear them and critic them….Who knows maybe they might catch a break, after all up untill… Read more »

shuky YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i agree with 27
February 5, 2010 6:46 am

shuky is the best with such an AMAZING VOICE glad he won!
and biynamin moshe IS TRULY AN AMAZING COMPOSER i am very happy for them that they WON!!!!

to 149 what bothers you?
February 5, 2010 6:44 am

Maybe it is because he is the only gershon around….. I thought that Fried was not right on as you say. He is the only one who was not chosen but got the best coments from the judges. He should have been one of teh three along with Sadon and Ohayon. Binyomin Moshe does not even come close.

February 5, 2010 6:41 am

u or so right

Michael made some very valid points
February 5, 2010 6:41 am

i cant wait this is so much fun
February 5, 2010 6:26 am
Go Gershon!
February 5, 2010 6:26 am

Avrohom Fried was right on!
Why are all the positive comments about him using his first name? As if we are all familiar with him.
Is he the one posting it?

Why pin-point on the video details? Look at the voice!
February 5, 2010 6:20 am

Why do the judges comment on the video performance? isnt that not the point? the point was the singing. michael complained about the light behind teitelbaum’s piano, such a small thing and dosent say anything about b.m.’s bed. just a thought… Go ohayon! was a very nice singer and cant wait to see him on the concert! ohayon and binyomen moshe very similar to me. but one’s french and the other israeli. Lehr turned A.F. off! well, you were great anyway! the one out there with the personality. congrats to the top 3!

french transalator
February 5, 2010 6:17 am

February 5, 2010 5:47 am

GO BINYAMIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE HAS A GR8 VOICE I LOVE THAT ISRAELI DUDES VOCIE AND HE ALSO LOOKS LIKE AN ENTERTAINER – when are ya putting out ur cd? and whens ur next concert?

I love all the choices espicily binyamin moshe he’s great cant wait for the concert its grrrreat for evry1:)

February 5, 2010 5:02 am

February 5, 2010 4:48 am

A couple points
February 5, 2010 4:33 am

1st off congrats to the 3 finalists. I was surprised however that they chose people who 2 of 3 I think can make EXCELLENT Jewish pop singers, but I’m not so sure they could really “bring it” with Chabad Nigunim, which I thought is all that will be performed at the concert. Averemel kept commenting about people who should have remained true to the Chassidishe flavor of a nigun but then chose 2 excellent pop stars? Also I was surprized that the 1 “non-music-world” judge was the only one of the 3 who seemed to be able to read through… Read more »

February 5, 2010 3:01 am

wow wow wow

Kudos to the judges
February 5, 2010 2:51 am

Next year please don’t reinvent the wheel by polling the audiance to determine who the judges get to see that a recepe for disaster
have the judges carefully analize the tapes and put forward their choices this way the audiance too will have no choice but to score on talent not popularity that’s the way it’s done for 9 seasons and still going strong
I’m looking forward to next year contest I hope collive is listening
this way we can be spared all the comments

The best CD to buy!
February 5, 2010 2:19 am

would include Gershon, Ohyon, Sadon, and Choni Grunblat. Soul II Soul, go for it!

Fried on B.S.
February 5, 2010 1:03 am

Avremel criticized Boruch out of disappointment!

Avremel knows Boruch personally and thinks highly of his talents. He can’t figure out why Buroch is singing so meshugah.

I don’t think Buroch war vary serious about the competition. He just used if as a platform for a creative bug he had to get out.

to #114
February 5, 2010 12:39 am

have no connections to Grunblatt and therefore my unbiased opinion is that I would pre-order yesterday!
launch a campaign

GO BINYAMIN MOSHE!!!!!!!!! Avraham Ohayon!!!!
February 4, 2010 11:31 pm

Alek keilu sheaf echad lo yada shetenatzeach !!
Comme aucun savez que tu va gagnez!!
ata totach binyamin! ohavim otcha!! chibuk retet eilecha!!!
si tu peux dire bonjour a shaye liberow tais de strtassbourge!

I think that Gershon Shapiro is the best!!!
February 4, 2010 11:00 pm

He is singing the best.

choni grunblat
February 4, 2010 10:25 pm

is the best !!!!!!!!!!

on the money
February 4, 2010 9:45 pm

It was simply who was the best three singers, not who was cool, or had the most friends on kingston avenue. I personally would only pay to see those three guys and one other)

February 4, 2010 9:13 pm

Very entertaining! its good to see avraham fried talking.. Even though he is just a singer, he potentially can ifluence people b.c of his name and respect for him. Maybe one day he will be more influential, we all could use it.

February 4, 2010 9:04 pm

That our judges were not biased…
And how do we know?
Simply because the best had won!

February 4, 2010 8:12 pm

I’d buy a Choni Grunblatt CD any day.
Shuky Sadon and the Israeli guy on the guitar are ample winners.
But Chony deffinitely shoulda taken a spot on top 3!

Good choice!
February 4, 2010 7:07 pm

So Happy Shuky won! He deserves it!

The Missed Ones
February 4, 2010 6:54 pm

Choni Grunblatt is awesome I’d love to hear his album in the near future he gave a perfect audition. Choni Teitelbaum is VERY talented I don’t know if his voice is the best but he certainly has allot to offer musically, I predict you will you will hear from him in the near future as well. Boruch Blesofsky is another great talent he composes phenomenal compositions and sings pretty well as well he will be heard from as well. Yisroel Koch can do a one man show with his guitar and an amplifier. Avremel Blesofsky has a beautiful voice that… Read more »

Very good choice!
February 4, 2010 6:50 pm

Above all for Avraham Ohayon, who deserved it. I knew that he would be picked up, what a talent!
Good luck for the concert.

to #77 yey :) :) :) :)
February 4, 2010 6:49 pm

I’ll pay (one way)

February 4, 2010 6:45 pm

February 4, 2010 6:30 pm
to 35
February 4, 2010 6:07 pm

Fried was actually understating in his criticism Shapiro’s voice quivers on low notes and and thins out on high notes. But he can keep a tune.

you dont got to hock...
February 4, 2010 5:57 pm

the judges said the wierdest things !the lights should be off during the video yeaaaa just speak about everyhting but the singingi mean maybe the walls of the house should be painted, …. and the way they threw off shtifel??? he was gevaldik

Impressed with the Judges
February 4, 2010 5:57 pm

But what’s with the entertainer? Enough comments about not being a music professional. That’s quite clear. Was he supposed to be the foil for the other two. I actually gained appreciation for A. Fried and M. Sojcher who handled themselves elegantly and professionally. The other fellow seemed to waste my time and insult my intelligence. Consumers and the general public do not require clowns at the bull fight to understand what is going on. Often time the producers under estimate the viewing public’s intelligence.

To both Choni's
February 4, 2010 5:51 pm

You guys are both great guys, really musical, well trained voices and a pleasure to listen to, but I wouldn’t say you were blessed with a “superstar voice” so the judges are correct in my opinion. but keep on singing!

good judging!
February 4, 2010 5:46 pm

Based on talent not on how many people your family knows.

Great End!
February 4, 2010 5:37 pm

I was worried that the judges would be to afraid to say what was on their mind, but they really said it as it is and everybody – especially the contestants should be grateful.

February 4, 2010 5:25 pm

choni, please put out a cd i would listen to you any day

great idea
February 4, 2010 5:25 pm

choni grunblat you are the best waiting for your cd can we preorder

Great contest- disappointing results
February 4, 2010 5:22 pm

Impressed with the great idea of a contest, but disappointed that the ‘hollywood’ attitude prevailing over talents. All 3 winners have high pitched voices and great work up in the studio. The ones that followed the rules of ‘ record as you can’ have not been chosen despite the talent they can offer.

OHAYON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OHAYON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OHAYON!!!!!!!!!!
February 4, 2010 5:09 pm

February 4, 2010 4:59 pm

GOOO!! ohayon i knew the whole way you would win this.
Good luck at the Concert

mr singer
February 4, 2010 4:55 pm

i think grunblatt should be in it oh well!

Lehr had it coming
February 4, 2010 4:53 pm

he did not ingratiate himself well.

grunblatt and shtiefel
February 4, 2010 4:51 pm

wow it was great we loved it anyways

desagree with #92
February 4, 2010 4:51 pm

the fact that a judge said that rumblat puts ppl to sleep dosn’t mean anything he himsef puts people to sleep! how exacly does grumblatt put ppl to sleep? thru his singing not being computerised like the others? thu him singing hartzig? because he deedn’t make a fool out of himself? what about shmuly? because his voice wasn’t computerised he is not good enough? i think the judges are making a big mistake instead of judging voices and talent they choose nice videos and not lubavitche songs! at least ohayon is got talent but the rest aren’t close to grunblatt… Read more »

On what criteria?
February 4, 2010 4:50 pm

On what criteria are the judges marking?

I think that all the singers here have major potential.
Showing your songs to people who do not recognize and cannot appericiate the syle of singing or song that you’ve sung does not mean that the individual that has sang has a bad voice.
I personally think that all the singers here were great and need to find their particular group of people who enjoy their music.
overall great voices. Particularly, I enjoyed M.L’s voice. sing a better song though, next time. 😉

Mendy Pellin
February 4, 2010 4:44 pm

Hey Mendy, bloody hilarious! I’m missing those days with you,Bill and Michael (or Michael B!) i would love to see them watch this! reminds me of good times…

February 4, 2010 4:40 pm

Its unfortunate that one judge not chabad to appreciate the beauty of nigun- only the desensitized can sleep on it…im surprised they took a judge that doesnt have our outlook….

ur so funny
February 4, 2010 4:38 pm

go mendy pellin

The last guy
February 4, 2010 4:31 pm

Funny to see A.F. judge the last guy. The guy is so much more talented than A.F. By leaps and bounds!

February 4, 2010 4:20 pm

Yay! Avraham Ohayon won. he was very good and had a beautiful performance. the judges were a bit too harsh/ blunt, but whatever. I just hope the contestants they spoke about wont get offended and be sad.
this was fun! are they gonna do this kind of contest again?

great job judges
February 4, 2010 4:05 pm

so for next year,
first the judges weed out the “fakers” and they pick top ten.
THEN let the public choose from the real talent.
look how many million people voted for grunblatt, wasted their time! bsb, a waste of time!

To 91 well put I couldn't agree with you more
February 4, 2010 3:57 pm

Next year I hope the organizors do listen and allow the judges to put through contestants based on their findings
and I agree the judges might see something they realy like from the other tapes
I for one was shocked how some of the other contestants did not make the top ten

boruch sholom
February 4, 2010 3:55 pm

2 out of 3 judges were very pleased. One judge had an issue not with the product, but with the fact that he said “I love Chassidishe Music” with your hands stretched out. And followed with a hip-hop song?
C’mon, “Don’t hide from me……..”

to #92
February 4, 2010 3:54 pm

Grunblat was the best, not in popularity but in talent, I think that it is time for you to go to sleep, yingale.

worse than Obama!
February 4, 2010 3:54 pm

Grunblatt was voted in by the people as number one!!!

And he doesn’t even make it in to the top three??? Clearly, the judges are further out of touch with the listeners than Obama is with the US ELECTORATE!

yermi ukdoff
shmuli rimler

WOW the truth comes out
February 4, 2010 3:46 pm

i am so glad the judges based their choces on true talent.
grunblatt puts people to sleep…funny how the comments on the other posts all voted him in, but obviously that was only a popularity ocntest.
glas to see they chose truly great ones.

judges comments,,,, priceless
February 4, 2010 3:41 pm

I gotta say I was very impressed how the judges broke down and stripped away all the hype thats clouded peoples perception of the contestants .it was refreshing to hear proffesional advice and remarks from experts in this industry, furthermore their honest and accurate feedback should be embraced by the finalist , they should use it and improve themselves not G-d forbid throw in the towel What the judges did for them is priceless In fact as a gesture to the 16 that didn’t get the votes ,but never the less worked hard If they could have the judges critic… Read more »

TG for Avrohom Fried - Ashreinu
February 4, 2010 3:39 pm

Ashreinyu mah Tov Chelkenu to have our chabad Ambasdor to Jewish Music – A real pniimusdiger yid.

You take one look out there to, Yeshiva BC, other so called performers “Zei Kumen Nishet tzu di ….

TY Avremel!

I beg to differ with the judges
February 4, 2010 3:19 pm

I hear what they say about BSB, although he is by far the most compelling, you were looking for raw voice, not twist voice yada yada yada…

But Grunblatt!! He was incredibly beautiful!! But I’m glad Sadon (at least they were correct in one of their choices) was chosen. He really was hartzig.

big fan of baruch s
February 4, 2010 3:15 pm

to be a good singer u nead A. well to know how to sing and B. definitly to know how to perform. u could have an amazing voice but if ur audeince is sleeping wats the point? boris u rock, alll the moms or parents like and apreciate ur talent and thats realy the next jeneration. rock chasidish. go for it dude u have it

go b s

boruch shalom sholdvbe won

February 4, 2010 2:56 pm

realy was looking forward to see grunblat thought he was amazing agrea with #80 jewish music got to find the real jewish stars

February 4, 2010 2:48 pm

Why do you knock BS for singing “Jazz”?

Isn’t Bein Kach, Jazz? Did your produced not tell you?

I don’t think it is fair to expect a different standard from him than you do from yourself…

to #55
February 4, 2010 2:47 pm

No he wasn’t. He said “from one kohen to another stick to nigunim”. Also his facial expressions on “what on earth was that? reggaie, rap, hip-hop” told you exactly that he didn’t agree with the STYLE.

Problem is that Avremel himself has introduced MANY GOYISHE styles into the Jewish world. Growing up, Avremel and MBD were the ONLY singers we listened to and they introduced me to rock, shuffle, funk, disco, country, jazz — you name it!

go choni
February 4, 2010 2:40 pm

choni your the best !!!!!!!!!

February 4, 2010 2:38 pm

Shmuli keep practicing means you’ve got what it takes!
Keep at it and you’ll get places!!!
It just, wasn’t a Chazonus competition!
But who cares, you sang what you’re good at, and we enjoyed it!!!

simon cowell
February 4, 2010 2:32 pm

well what can i say, i am very impressed, the judges said the truth, and what was on their mind. the top 3 are great.
thank you col and soul to soul.

February 4, 2010 2:27 pm

what was wrong with grunblatt?
they agreed that he sung nice, chasidish and good performance (pelin said it himself, isnt he supposed to be the profesional?)
so what was it the video?
is a star he who makes the best video?
ohayon has a better video?
and what about the guy who sung forever one?
the hands take him of the stage? i think thats ridiculus
the guy had a great voice and sung realy hartzig?

basicly jewish music will always be the same, same voices, same style etc.

what's next?
February 4, 2010 2:26 pm

I think that the winners will have a hard time putting on a better performance live then in the video….some of them seem to have used a lot of studio editing for their voices…..

Can't wait to find out who the winner is!!!
February 4, 2010 2:24 pm

The winners are great!!! Why did they comment so much on their videos, I thought they weren’t judging based on it? ( Maybe they should have just sent in their voices, without a video.) Why did they put all the criticism on this video for all to see? Go Shuki!!!

February 4, 2010 2:18 pm

Go Ohayon!
February 4, 2010 2:15 pm

February 4, 2010 2:05 pm

why is nobody ruting for binyomin moshe, in my opinion he is the same good as all the others!

Go Avremel!
February 4, 2010 2:02 pm

Come on there is no Idol without his say!!!

grunblatt dont be dissapointed the masses loved your music
February 4, 2010 1:55 pm

But Where is Grunblatt!!! He is better than sadon by far….

February 4, 2010 1:42 pm

Where's Gershon Shapiro?
February 4, 2010 1:40 pm

Where’s Gershon Shapiro? agree that Shuky Sadon and Avraham Ohayon should win.

should have been
February 4, 2010 1:36 pm

I think they could have beem a bit more sensitive to the singers they spoke about, they may have caused them to be embarased and thats not a mitzvah

February 4, 2010 1:36 pm

how can you compare? i don’t think it was the style of the song, i think AF was bothered by how he sang it – moaning, groaning and shouting etc. thats not the way a bochur (or anyone) should sing, especially after his intro about how much he loves chassidishe niggunim…

February 4, 2010 1:35 pm
February 4, 2010 1:26 pm

Agree with 25
February 4, 2010 1:26 pm

February 4, 2010 1:24 pm

theres only one voice that was missing from the competition………………LEVI YITZCHOK COLEMAN

February 4, 2010 1:18 pm

1. I find it amusing, to put it lightly, that AF criticizes people for their lack of “life” on the video – when we all know he’s pretty much stiff as a board on stage. I’ve even seen his hands go back and forth on many occasions – to the point where the viewer looses focus. But hey maybe he’s giving advice on his past mistakes. 2. Baruch Sholom was extremely creative, and i feel he showed enough vocal talent to at least get nominated. I didn’t agree with AF on BS. However all in all, I felt the judges… Read more »

Avremel was simply saying that to start off with a chissidishe niggun and then switch it up like that wasn’t what he was expecting.

wheres grunblatt??
February 4, 2010 1:12 pm
February 4, 2010 1:05 pm

whoever was chosen was chosen b/c hashem wanted to them to. so don’t blame anyone. i think everyone in the contest had talent but those 3 were exceptional.

February 4, 2010 1:04 pm

Choni Grunblatt should have been in the top 3. I would have picked him over Sadon. But I totally agree with the other two choices.
Also, I certainly did not expect the judges to be so harsh and critical. They spent a whole lot more time on Chesronos than on Maalos. I found it very strange.

thank you col keep up the great entertament
February 4, 2010 1:04 pm

i like when avraham said what happen to the loving of the nigunem?
but why did they nock shtifel??????
hes great
and grunblat common??? i mean dont deny he got you guys h

hey 32
February 4, 2010 1:03 pm

girl i agree with u 100%

did somebody tell the judges the rules???
February 4, 2010 12:53 pm

its sad to see that the judges got lost in the video not the voice
in the rules of the competition it says that it will not be judged by the video only on the singing

February 4, 2010 12:49 pm

Avraham Ohayon is da man!

Binyamin Moshe,Shuky Sadon, Avraham Ohayon!!!!!!!!!!
February 4, 2010 12:47 pm

WOW WOW WOWEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree they are great!!!!

February 4, 2010 12:44 pm

This was the best video ever! So interesting to see everyone’s opinion.

The 3 finalists really do deserve it
February 4, 2010 12:41 pm

I just think its funny that of all the finalists/contestants which majority of them were american, the finalists are 2 Frenchies and and Israeli!! In any case, I’m happy for them.

February 4, 2010 12:41 pm

I am so glad that the judges recognized the talents of the final three. I am blown away by Avraham Ohayan (I listened to his song on repeat for a good half hour), but was concerned that he wouldn’t be chosen because it’s “outside” of the more traditional Chabad/stam Jewish recordings that I’ve heard. To say the least, I am relieved that the judges criticized the overly produced recordings and videos. It has always been a pet peeve of mine that Jewish arraignments tend to be so drowned out by the instruments (and, those are typically synsethized to boot). Thank… Read more »

February 4, 2010 12:38 pm

Dear Avremel
February 4, 2010 12:33 pm

Boruch Sholoms song is a Blues Shuffle.

I believe you also have some contemporary songs (‘Uvenei Yisroel Yotzim’ is BigBand Swing, ‘Don’t Hide’ is a Romantic Ballad, ‘Never Alone’ is a 70s Disco, and ‘mi ma’ is FUNK!!!)

Don’t criticize Boruch Sholom, he might be doing more contemporary than you, BUT DON’T FORGET WHO STARTED IT!!!

avraham fried
February 4, 2010 12:27 pm

i thought the contest was based on the voice
not on his video or how he spoke or if it was chasidish or not

no comments???!!
February 4, 2010 12:27 pm

its an hour already and No comments? I say great choices!!!

A few points...
February 4, 2010 12:26 pm

The only one who really judged was Avremel everyone else was afraid of saying something wasnt good…
Why does the shaved guy keep stroking his (beard?) chin?
Pellin has no idea what hes talking about it LOL funny!
Pellin contradicts himself in his verdict of the first 2 parcipitants!!!…

February 4, 2010 12:23 pm

February 4, 2010 12:09 pm

February 4, 2010 12:02 pm

Dear Avremel
February 4, 2010 12:00 pm

Youre chassidishe spirit and encouragement to us younger generation is amazing. Firm, but not judgmental. And coming from you it has a greater impact.

Nice Job
February 4, 2010 12:00 pm

Especially Avraham Fried – he was on the money…

February 4, 2010 11:59 am

Shuky der emesser chassid!
February 4, 2010 11:56 am

Shuky, a chassidishe singer and hertzig in one, is hard to find!

Boruch sholom
February 4, 2010 11:51 am

I am sittig with my 6 year old and he jumps up and dances when you sing tht is it…….
BS you win and quite frankly very dissapointed with all the judges……
the concert should take place at EIFFEL TOWER

My opinion
February 4, 2010 11:49 am

i love Baruch Sholom Blesofky – rare talent

this is about singing, not finding the next lipa/berry weber/mendy pellin

we have enough show ppl puting out cd’s every other day. this is about voice. and in that sense, i think the judges made a good call (while i would still go to any blesofsky concert)

a request of colliive
February 4, 2010 11:47 am

It is very noticeable the power this website has to bring out talent, and get people involved. Please use these talents to create other competitions and programs that bring out talent and strengthen chassidishkeit.

Gershon should have been picked!!!
February 4, 2010 11:44 am

Avremel, How could you criticize Gershon’s strength of voice out of all things….? and then you get so excited over Binyomin Moshe’s voice? Come on? Gershon should have been chosen he did an amazing job with a difficult song!

Also, how could you not choose Grunblat?

Congrats to all the winners (especially to Shuky as a friend)

Thanks COL for this great project. Looking forward to the concert.

February 4, 2010 11:39 am

I’m a little surprised to see how harsh the judges are. If I were a guy who thought about submitting, but didn’t, I wouldn’t in a million years after seeing this. I feel awful for the contestants.

February 4, 2010 11:37 am

So not fare its a fix and lay off of my big brother he is the best

go binyomin moashe!
February 4, 2010 11:37 am

Shuky All The Way!
February 4, 2010 11:33 am

I said it from day 1. Don’t know him, but he’s still awesome!

I was afraid some Avraham Fried might think of him as a threat to his career – I’m surprised he chose him.

I thought...
February 4, 2010 11:30 am

I thought they’d be commenting on the voice not on the videos….

February 4, 2010 11:20 am

I can’t believe ___ didn’t make it! And ____ did? Judge ____ is biased because ___ is his ____’s ____! Everybody knows that.

Typical comment…
