The Mill Hill Synagogue in Edgware, England, celebrated its fourteenth annual baby blessing ceremony with thirty-eight babies in attendance.
Its spiritual leader Rabbi Yitzchok Schochet led the ceremony and told those assembled that this year takes the toll to over four hundred babies born within the community in the last fourteen years.
Mill Hill Synagogue now has the largest proportion of children under five than any other community according to United Synagogue records.
“This presents us with wonderful challenges going forward,” Rabbi Schochet said.
“The new Etz Chaim primary school opened last September and the new Synagogue building expected to commence in mid-January all reflect an exciting future ahead.”
he’s always upping his game.
