An Evening of Appreciation for Gan Academy’s Teachers

On Monday evening, the parents of Gan Academy in Crown Heights gathered to celebrate and pay tribute to the hard work and extraordinary devotion of their children’s teachers. The event included an elaborate spread of dairy delicacies, complemented by a selection of fine wines, warm vibes and a thoughtfully curated program.

The evening was emceed by Levik Jacobson and opened with words of Torah and appreciation from Rabbi Moshe Lieblich, the director of Gan Academy Yeshiva. Rabbi Lieblich expressed the unique and special nature of the event, sharing that “it is not often that you find an evening of teacher appreciation being arranged and hosted by the parents of the school! This itself speaks volumes!”

A member of the Gan Academy board of directors and parent in the school, Mrs. Lea New Minkowitz shared beautiful words of appreciation, thanking the teachers for all the hard work that they put in to ensure the wellbeing and education of each and every child.

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of a heartwarming slideshow that featured poignant quotes from the students about what they “love most about” their teachers. For the teachers, this was very meaningful and moving, as they discovered that even their small acts of kindness had made a huge impact on the hearts of their precious students.

Each teacher was presented with a personal gift in appreciation for their tireless dedication to their students. A special honor was given to three long-standing and beloved teachers who have been with Gan Academy since its inception: Ms. Chana Bistritzky, Ms. Dina Hecht and Rabbi Yisroel Noach Blank. Each of these teachers was presented with their award by one of their young students, who shared how they were impacted by their extraordinary teachers

The outpouring of love and appreciation was very well received by the teachers. Director Mrs. Esther Betesh shared that “the evening was inspiring to all of us, and reflected the close bond shared between the Gan Academy parent body and teachers.”
