Water transforms everything.
No, it won’t magically clear the lego off the floor or organize your fridge. But, it is the timeless link between every Jewish woman and her family. This mitzvah has the power to purify, to restore and replenish life. And it is the key to creating growing Jewish homes and a vibrant Jewish future.
For years, Jewish women in remote cities across North America have traveled hundreds of miles each way by plane, train or car to reach the closest mikvah. At times, these women have used local sources of water for tevilah, which, even when not freezing, is no easy feat. No woman should have to risk physical injury to go to Mikvah. While Mikvah is central to creating Jewish families, women should not worry about dangerous roads and safety when participating in this vital mitzvah.
In a first of its kind campaign, 7 Shluchim living in these remote cities have joined together to raise the funds necessary to build a local Mikvah in each of the 7 cities.
These Chabad Houses are joining forces in an ambitious fundraising effort to cover the costs of seven unique Mikvahs serving their local communities. The challenge is steep for any one community to tackle on their own, but reaching out for the support of Klal Yisroel, they know that they can make it happen.
There is one way to make this dream a reality: their brothers and sisters in arms, fellow Lubavitchers.
The Shluchim and community members involved in this campaign are turning to the wider Jewish community across the globe to make this happen, because, who would understand the crucial need (and beauty!) of having an accessible Mikvah more than their brother and sisters? Your participation in this revolutionary campaign will directly enable hundreds of women to easily access a Mikvah. Your donation will truly Bring Mikvah Home, leaving a lasting impact on generations of Jewish families to come.
The need is urgent, and yet together we can do this! Any donation, large or small, will make a difference in bringing the most sacred and dear Mitzvah to the most far-out and remote cities, giving each Jewish community their very own Mikvah.
Today, you can change everything for these SEVEN remote Jewish communities:
