Members of the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council met with Speaker of the New York City Council Adrienne Adams, who is running for Mayor of New York City.
During the meeting, the speaker heard about the programs and services of the CHJCC and discussed some of the problems plaguing the Crown Heights community, and concerns of residents regarding safety, affordable housing, sanitation and other important issues.
“The speaker was encouraging and promised to do what she can to help ensure that we have the resources we need,” a Vaad Hakohol member said.
Adams is vying to become the first female mayor of New York City, running against current Mayor Eric Adams and former Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo.
She received the backing of three major unions it was reported recently, as well as from Letitia James, the state attorney general.
Speaker Adrienne Adams has been both anti-Israel and antisemitic in the past. I don’t trust her to keep any of the promises she has made to the Jewish community.She just wants our support for votes so that will help her maybe win the Mayor race. Once elected, she will do whatever she wants to do.

The other two options are current mayor Eric Adams and former governor Andrew m. Coumo.
She is the one spearheading the campaign to shut Rikers Island. Yes, the prison that holds bad people off our streets to ensure a safe NYC. She has no plan to keep us safe. Just wants to shut the prison… NO THANK YOU!
Who will benifit from voting for her? The community or the elected officials ?

She is one of the leading advocate for releasing Mahmoud Khalil from ICE deportation detention so he can wreak more havoc on the Jewish community.

We owe “favorite son” status to Eric. Meeting with his opponents as part of a new “engagement strategy” (how Western we’ve become!) signals abandonment of one of the only 2 Mayors who respect us instinctively! What next? The community leaders seem to endorse the leading candidate so that once elected, she’ll be gracious to our community given that we voted for her. The only thing is that she isn’t the leading candidate,coumo is, So why are they inviting her?
I don’t live in Crown Heights but hearing 3 unions and Letecia Adams endorses her has me wondering.
