On the day that Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams had his victory confirmed as Democratic candidate for Mayor of New York, he returned to Crown Heights.
The neighborhood first launched his political career as a State Senator and Adams made it his last campaign stop before the primary.
After he was declared the winner this week, he went to dinner at the popular Meat restaurant to discuss his victory and plans for the future of the city, with Rabbi Chanina Sperlin and Rabbi Eli Cohen of the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council.
They were joined at the meal by Meat owner, Danny Branover, and members of the Branover family.
During the meal, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg called to congratulate him.
Earlier, Adams received a call from President Joe Biden who was on Air Force One, and later from former President Bill Clinton.
In the course of the evening, Adams spoke of the change that he wants to bring about for the city of New York, increasing safety by enabling the New York Police Department to restore order to the streets and by redirecting the mission of the city government to support its businesses by cutting red tape and removing obstacles to growth, a source told COLlive.com.

Now will he instruct the Police Department Licensing Division to Issue Concealed Carry Permits?! Don’t hold your Breath you know you can’t count on him!!!
Eric Adams will do what suits his political purposes.
At this moment some Jews have helped him, let’s hope there will be bring tangible dividends.
Jews should always be careful not to get too close to the “ king”.
May he be successful in making New York a thriving and safe city for all its residents and visitors .
We are ALL his constituents! Everyone of us has a voice. We are not as a whole solely represented by a small group of people . Mr Adam’s does indeed recognize this!
I thought he was a vegan.
A few years ago, a major radio personality brought
up for discussion an election in California. In that
part of the state, they passed a law, legitimizing immorality
(don’t want to use the term they like to refer to themselves as).
Guess what! 7 out of 10 Africans voted AGAINST it. So, that shows
that most blacks are conservative.
Is he going to make NY safe for all Jewish people and put an end to black antisemitic crime. If not chuck him out.
