Yeshivas Bais Schneur is committed to the total Bochur in mind, body, and soul. Now entering their 5th year, Bais Schneur has added a few new programs which are part of their comprehensive approach to a Bochur’s personal development in Yeshiva.
Mind:
A learning approach that recognizes differentiated instruction – tailoring lessons to meet each student’s individual interests, needs, and strengths. The Yeshiva has main Shiurim in Nigla and Chassidus and chabura/chavrusa learning with staff and students to cater to each student’s ability and level. Each student has his own monthly learning plan and goals to achieve.
Body:
FITNESS TRAINING PROGRAM:
The program is led by Will Cavanaugh who is a Physical therapist by profession and runs a CrossFit gym. He teaches the Bochurim how to take care of their physical health with exercise and nutrition and does intense group workout training with the Bochurim each session. “A healthy body helps for a healthy soul”
Soul:
FARBRENGENS/SHLICHUS:
Heartwarming farbrengens are held every week with guest speakers and hanhala. The boys also get shlichus opportunities several times a year where they can take leadership roles in spreading the light and warmth of Yiddishkeit.
EMOTIONAL WELLBEING WORKSHOP:
The program includes group workshops promoting general emotional wellbeing, healthy communication and the art of listening. The program also includes private one on one therapy sessions led by Licensed therapist and local Anash member Levi Wolf. The therapy program is generously sponsored and made possible by the Anatian family. We wish them much Hatzlacha in all their endeavors!
Bais Schneur has recently added a host of electives to their program with its own creative director.
THE CREATIVE STUDIO:
Explore your innate talents and develop your skills in one or more of these courses. An innovative outlet for any student. Classes are given by Rabbi L. Katz.
MUSIC: Guitar – Violin – Piano Learn to play any of these instruments and to read the musical notes.
ART: Oil on canvas – Learn how to make realistic oil on canvas portraits.
CARPENTRY: Woodworking – Learn to make hand cut dovetails, mortise and tenon joints and more.
“These elective programs are run outside of seder, keeping a Bochur productive during those hours,” says Rabbi Sasson, Menahel of Bais Schneur. “This makes a Bochur feel accomplished and stimulated with healthy outlets. From what I’ve seen enabling Bochurim to pursue their g-d given talents and helping them develop skills enhances their performance during Seider.”

I’ve heard great things about your Yeshiva.

Great Yeshiva as it was, even more so now that they have extra add ons.
Kudos to Rabbi Sasson for keeping making the Yeshiva experience better for each boy individualized.
My son went to this Yeshiva for two consecutive years, and our experience was great B”H.
A person is complex especially a teenage Bochur. Glad to see a Yeshiva looking out for the Bochur’s personal life in yeshiva. Keep up the great work!
