1 Rabbi, 1,500 Shofar Blasts.
This Rosh Hashana, Rabbi Levi Mendelson, a Shliach in Israel and director of Lev Chabad (A project of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad that provides programming and services in hospitals throughout Israel), made his rounds throughout the Wolfson Hospital in Holon and personally blew the shofar for hundreds of patients.
He related his experience to Chadashot 12, a popular Israeli TV Channel.
This year, Lev Chabad conducted a coordinated effort that included dozens of Shluchim and volunteers. The objective was to make sure that every single patient in every hospital throughout Israel, would be able to feel the spirit of Yomtov and fulfill the Mitzvah of Shofar.
Lev Chabad is currently in the middle of a fundraising campaign to complete the construction of a brand new wing of complimentary hospitality suites in the Wolfson Hospital in Holon.
