I am in tears. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful personal portrait of who your zaidi was. So great yet so humble. We asked him all our shailos and he always answered with such profound insight and sensitivity. He often picked up on and understood things about our situation that we didn’t understand ourselves. What a tremendous loss!

Rav Schwei a”h treated many of us as if we were his special grandchild. Although I was just an ordinary person, when I called with a Shailoh, I felt like the Rav was putting everything aside just to think through what answer to give me. He spoke so gently and with such kindness, even if the psak was not going to be to my liking. He wanted to make sure I understood why it was so, and I shouldnt feel anger or disappointment.
