Davening at the gravesite of the great Tanna, Rebbi Yonasan ben Uziel, has been known as a segulah for finding one’s zivug for almost two thousand years. Rebbi Yonasan Ben Uziel was a talmid of Rebbi Hillel Hazaken and never married. As he neared the end of his life, he promised that anyone who came to his grave to daven for their bashert would have their tefilos answered. Since then, for generations, countless Jews have flocked to his grave in order to pray for success in finding a suitable marriage partner.
Every year, on the 26th of Sivan, hundreds of people make the trek to Amuka, all with one goal in mind, to pray for themselves or people they know to get married. This year, for 40 consecutive days, special messengers will be gathering at Amukah to pray on behalf of the great individuals who give tzedaka to poor families and orphans who are in dire need of financial assistance. There are so many poor families who are relying on help from Kupat Ha’Ir to pay their next grocery bill, and these messengers, together with the gedolim, know what an essential cause this is.
A blessing has been issued by these great talmidai chachamim that “Anyone who donates $180 to the yesomim and almanos of Klal Yirsroel, in order to help them get married, should be Zocheh to be married themselves by the end of the year!”
Tonight, in honor of Rebbi Yonasan ben Uziel’s yahrzeit, Klal Yisroel is being given a tremendous opportunity to help those who desperately need it. In return, those righteous donors will be zoche to a life with bracha, and build a healthy & happy Jewish family.
Chazal revealed to us a powerful formula built into the nature of Tefilah and Chesed; “One who davens or does an act of kindness on behalf of another Jew, and he needs that same thing, he will be answered first!”.
Giving tzedaka to this worthy cause will bring goodness to those who truly need it. CLICK HERE TO ADD YOUR NAME and b’ezrat Hashem, merit a life filled with bracha.
