I have one question: This yud shvat will be 70 years since the histalkus of the Frierdiker Rebbe, but can we really say it’s 70 years of our Rebbe’s nesius, given that he didn’t officially accept the nesius until the following year?

The rebbe was appointed by the frierdiker rebbe to look after the central institutions of Lubavitch, including outreach, publication, and social and spiritual activities. These were continued and expanded by the rebbe immediately following yud Shevat.
The Rebbe began to be involved in the lives of Chassidim and especially bochrim, immediately. The Rebbe also reached out to people of the entire world, and performed miracles.
To chassidim, the Rebbe became the Rebbe immediately on Yud Shevat, 70 years ago.
