By Chana Ainsworth-Wasserman
Two years ago today, my mother and father, Tzvi and Itty Ainsworth, were tragically taken from this world.
These past two years have been a sequence of days and months of breaking apart from pain and trying to figure out how to put myself back together again.
Nothing feels the same anymore.
The person I once was and the world I once knew has forever been shifted.
My intention here today is to take a moment with you to remember my parents for who they were and what they left behind.
They offered the people in their life safety and love.
They helped those around them with discretion and humor
They valued connection and friendship
They made us laugh
People sought them out for their wisdom
They cherished their grandchildren
They showed us what it means to live with faith
They taught us how to love
They cheered us on unconditionally
They were bursting with pride
They were just here with us
As we take this moment to remember my parents, I want to give them a message.
To ma and ta,
I’ve come to realize that I’m not meant to understand why or how something like this can happen.
I’ve come to realize that while I am here in this world, I am going to live my life in your footsteps.
I will choose to live in the ways that you have taught me
Everything I am is because of you
Thank you for teaching me
Thank you for loving me with all that you had
I love you, we love you
I miss you deeply
I will forever live knowing it’s through me that the world will continue to see you
All my love
Your only daughter, Chana
P.S. Stay in touch, my eyes are open
Today, on Yud Daled Tammuz,
Take a moment to do something good in honor of my mother and father,
Tzvi and Itty Ainsworth,
My dear sweet parents who lived with love and left a sea of broken hearts behind them
May their neshamos have aliyah
And may their neshamas be together
May Hashem heal your pain!!! May your parent’s holy neshamos have the highest aliyas and May they be gutteh bettors for the whole family!!!
Beautiful message.
יהי זכרם ברוך
Iyh, I will do something in their honor. I will try to be more available to my children.

May HaShem comfort you amongst the mourners of Zion and Yerushalaym. May HaShem grant you inner peace so you can help HaShem in revealing Moshiach, which should happen IMMEDIATELY so you can be dancing in the Beis HaMikdosh with your parents NOWWWWW! I lit 2 candles for your dear parents, each with their name under it. I am sure they are right next to HaShem putting in good words for everyone and making sure HaShem will be holding you in the palm of His hand, protecting you and guiding and guarding your every move! Dear Rabbi & Mrs. Ainsworth,OB”M Although I never had the opportunity to meet you in person, I have had the privilege of getting to know your remarkable daughter, Chana. She has been an incredible source of comfort and support for me, providing strength during times of pain. Through my connection with her, I have developed a deep bond with both of you. The qualities that defined who you were and how you led your lives are reflected in Chana, and I am truly grateful to you for raising such an amazing individual. It feels as though our paths crossed “Bhashgacha… Read more »
I came to their home as a Shabbos guest years ago and still have fond memories of their warmth by being treated as part of the family. זכותם תגן עלינו
I am so, so sorry for what happened.
May your parents’ holy neshamot have an aliyah, and that Hashem shall give you tremendous strength and bitachon.
