Hard to believe! The band that brought us Babenyu, All You Got, Yalili, Avraham, Hooleh, and so many more, just released their 9th studio album, “Lucky.” The 11 tracks are original 8th Day compositions in English and Hebrew with a splash of Yiddish.
“Lucky, the title track is based on the Rebbe’s first discourse of Baasi L’gani,” says lead singer Shmuel Marcus. “The idea of Lucky is ‘Ashreinu ma tov chelkeinu’ – how lucky are we to be the ones to bring Moshiach.” This along with many other chasidic teachings woven into the album’s lyrics that are sure to lift your spirits.
“There’s definitely something for everyone on this album,” says lead guitarist and vocalist Bentzi Marcus. “Musically and lyrically we really challenged ourselves more than ever!”

So please explain what the lyrics of Una Meser mean?
It’s a phrase in Yiddish “און א מעסער עסט א קי” which means a cow eats without a knife. It is used to rebuke in someone who eats without a knife impling that he eats like a cow. I undertstand it’s related to the song in the meaning you should be a mentch for example not eat like a behema.
