Bochurim learning at 770 Yeshiva over the past year gathered for an event in the Upstairs Zal at 770 to receive their Semicha certificates on Sunday.
The event was a Kinus Hakhel for all bochurim enrolled in 770’s semicha program and for those who have recently finished and were receiving their semicha certificates from Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Zalman Labkowsky and Mashpia Rabbi Shloime Zarchi.
The event was emceed by Rabbi Ahron Liberow.
The bochurim were addressed by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Zalman Labkowsky, Mashpia Rabbi Shlomo Zarchi, Rabbi Kuty Feldman, and meshivim of the group Rabbi Yaakov Gurwitz and Rabbi Mordechai Sternberg.
Also in attendance were mashgichim Rabbi Gedalia Bluming, Rabbi Levi Klyne and Rabbi Levi Kahana.
One of the highlights of the event for the bochurim present was when the original sicha of 24 Teves, 5712 when the Rebbe first encouraged the bochurim to learn to receive semicha was played in the same exact room where it was originally said.
Following the formal event, they farebrenged as well.
