As promised in the letter to the community, the 770 Shul on Eastern Parkway was reopened to the public on Friday afternoon at 3:00 PM, after being closed since Monday.
The main shul of 770 Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights, which has been the target of vandalism by a rough group of bochurim, has undergone repair and inspection to enable its opening before Shabbos.
A construction crew had been working the past few days, to seal off the breach in the wall and tunnel that was dug by the bochurim in a unilateral effort to expand the Rebbe’s Shul.
A small crowd of bochurim and men were waiting outside before 3 pm, and entered the Shul with a large police presence still seen in the iconic Shul.
The Gabboim have announced that Security guards have been hired, and the NYPD will be there to ensure order in the Shul, they said.
To ensure security, the Shul will be closed overnight from 9:30pm until 6am on Friday night. Other nights it will be closed from 1:00am to 5:00am.
They also announced a series of rules for those in the Shul, barring any violence, intimidation, or threats to others. The Bochurim accused of causing mayhem in the Shul have been seen for years threatening others and using physical violence on others in the Shul.
The Gabboim also put out a list of names of those who have been arrested and/or seen on video damaging the Shul. They have been banned from entering the Shul at all.
Looks like nothing has changed…

Ladies section needs security too. Previously agitators were seen and filmed throwing things like eggs from the ladies section at the men below to stop the men downstairs from learning something they disagreed with

People are too affraid to give rebuke in chabad. Kicking these people out and telling them they are wrong is not a lack of ahavas yisrael, in fact it’s the opposite. It is not ok to live and let live. Enough of the flags, enough of the banners and enough of the yechi.
But yechi isn’t tied to yellow flags. Though some may say (with proper sources), that it is tied to Chabad
A flag is always about what it represents rather than the specific shape or wording (if any). Tribes, countries, nations and political parties use it to mark territory/allegiance etc The “moshiach flag” is just that: A symbol/declaration of the “party of extremist meshichistin” saying “we are here” etc. It doesn’t bring moshiach any closer nor is it intended to. Im more embarrassed about the table in middle of 770 of so called Chasidisher Chevrah. Who sit and talk every Shabbos during Davening on the top of their voices then after Mussef make a Fabrengen..
Chilul Hashem to talk the whole Davening with no shame in front of outsiders
