Chof Cheshvan, the 151st birthday of the Rebbe Rashab, will be spent in South Florida with a special guest from New York who will be providing insight on a chassidic milestone.
Rabbi Shlomo Zarchi, longtime Mashpia of the Central Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch Yeshiva – 770, will lead a men’s farbrengen at Chabad of South Broward on Wednesday night, November 16, at 9:00 PM.
His talk will be celebrating 100 years since the Rebbe Rashab, founder of the Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva, began to deliver the profound series of discourses known as “Hemshech Terav”, or “Ayin Beis.”
The first discourse of this classic series was said in Lubavitch on Shavuos, 5672. A class on “Ayin Beis” is delivered every weekday morning at Chabad of South Broward.
“This class began several days after Gimmel Tammuz this past summer,” says its director Rabbi Raphael Tennenhaus. “On Wednesday, Erev Chof Cheshvan, the study group will finish the final Maamor of 5672, and on Thursday, Chof Cheshvan, will start the first Maamor of 5673.”
The Rebbe Rashab is referred to as “the Rambam” of Chassidus, for conveying and organizing in a systematic manner the deepest subjects of Chassidic thought.
