The 50th Mitzvah Tank parade headed out to the streets of New York City on Thursday in honor of the Rebbe’s birthday on Yud Alef Nissan.
The parade takes on greater significance this year due to the current war in Israel. The Mitzvah tanks were founded 50 years ago following the Yom Kippur War, and now, 50 years later, they are going stronger than ever, helping to fight darkness with light wherever they go.
This year, to celebrate the Rebbe’s birthday, 74 Mitzvah Tanks headed out in honor of the 74 years of the Rebbe’s leadership.
COLlive exclusively live-streamed the Parade, with host comedian Mendy Pellin. Popular vlogger Yakov Gelin from “Yid on the Street” joined the parade as well, capturing content for “Thank you Hashem” and its large following in the Jewish world.
A campaign has been launched to raise $180k for the Parade; all are encouraged to donate at TankParade.com
The Mitzvah Tank Organization is under the auspices of the Lubavitch Youth Organization.

It was just brought to my attention that khameni also has a birthday tomorrow.
May the force of good -being spare-headed by the Rebbe overpower the darkness that Iran has brought to the world!
