Members of the Jewish community is Rostov, Russia, gathered last week at the old Jewish cemetery to pray on the gravesite of the 5th Lubavitch Rebbe, Rabbi Sholom Dovber Schneersohn OBM.
The Rebbe’s 150th birthday was on Cheshvan 20.
Chabad Shliach and the city’s Rabbi Chaim Danzinger led the saying of Tehillim was and Panim (personal letters) were read asking for the Rebbe’s blessings.
They were joined by Rabbi Yossi Marozov, the Shliach in the city of Ulyanovsk.
The day was also observed with 6 Jews – from the age of 8 months to a 50 year-old – received a Bris Milah, entering the covenant with G-d on the auspicious day.
2 of the people chose the name Sholom Dovber after the Rebbe Rashab.
One of them, a 24 year-old, has made the decision to do a bris on Cheshvan 20, 5770. This year, with his father as the sandak, he completed the promise and was named Chaim Sholom Dovber.
This looks like a really amazing Rabbi. Just by looking at the photographs of how he interacts with his congregants one can tell the dedication of Rabbi Danzigger. There is a holiness and radiance that emanates from this man of the cloth.

The men who do bris mila at that age are so brave and inspiring. I love the way they can feel a kesher to the Rebbeim even though they grew up with nothing, NOTHING!
