500 at Ohel Rebbe Tribute

Over 500 Shluchim, friends and Chabad members from the New York Metropolitan area gathered at the Rebbe’s Ohel for a Gimmel Tammuz farbrengen.

The Farbrengen, organized by Lubavitch Youth Organization, was an evening of connection with the Rebbe and dedication to his teachings.

Rabbi Ilan Weinberg, a Shliach in Long Island, served as the MC.

Rabbi Arthur Schneier of the Park East Syneguoge spoke about his encounters with the Rebbe and the Rebbe’s love and affection for every single Jew and his responsibility for all of mankind.

Rabbi Simon Jacobson, famous author and lecturer spoke of how the Rebbe “reached” the depth of the Neshomah of every Jew and helped each individual, on his/her personal level, reach their own individuality and potential.

The Farbrengen included a special treat, the “Chasidishe Kapelye” – the Chassidic Choir – who sang “the Rebbes Niggunim” – the Rebbe’s songs.

Berel Zucker served as conductor and soloist. Attendees were emotional when the Rebbe’s Niggunim were sung in such close proximity to the Ohel.

“This was an evening of inspiration and motivation, dedication and commitment,” said Rabbi Shmuel Butman, Director of Lubavitch Youth Organization, “We would like to thank all the Shluchim for their dedication, great work and activities and for their efforts in organizing this Farbrengen at the Ohel.”
