This Pesach, Chabad Prague arranged a record breaking public Pesach seder which trumped all previous ones; nearly 500 Jews from all different kinds of backgrounds and nationalities came together at the luxurious Hilton Hotel.
“What is different this night from all other nights? -everything,” said a French diamond-dealer that joined the seder. “The atmosphere in the ballroom was stunning, breathtaking is an understatement. I will never forget this Pesach.”
There were more than 40 tables set up, to seat all those present; 2 filled with students from Israel, another with American students studying abroad, and yet another with Russian businessmen looking for a good and proper way to spend the holiday while in Czech Republic.
Each corner of the grand ballroom had its own special feeling, while at the same time, pervading the entire room with a spirit indescribable in words.
The Seder was organized by Czech Republic’s head shliach Rabbi Manis Barash and led by renowned cantor Simcha Stienberg.
The guests were spoiled with delectable food prepared by a world famous chef who runs the Hilton kitchen.
There was also plenty of song and dance together with the bochurim Menachem Maudah, Shneur Levitin, Alon Simon, Simcha Finkelstein, and Nati Uzan who were sent from the Merkos Shlichus program.
Rabbi Barash made special mention of the Merkos Shlichus program, run by Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, for the help and assistance around the year and especially Pesach.
