Rabbi Chaim Miller, author of 17 books including the Gutnick Chumash and Practical Tanya, traveled to Sydney, Australia last week to deliver an innovative lecture on the five levels of the soul.
“We always hear that the soul has five levels,” Rabbi Miller explained, “but what do they really mean? What is their psychology?”
After reaching the topic intensely, the British author made use of his talent of applying Chassidus to everyday life on a level that everyone can understand. Since the lecture was delivered in the wake of Gimmel Tammuz, each of the five soul levels were connected to a story of the Rebbe.
Rabbi Pinchas Feldman, Head Shliach to Sydney, who brought Rabbi Miller to Australia for the speech, was impressed with the creativity and coherency of the presentation.
“Rabbi Miller was really good,” he commented. “The crowd was engaged, grasping the deepest concepts in Chassidus but in a way that everyone can relate to.”
While in Sydney, Rabbi Miller also addressed the Chabad community in the North Shore, and gave a lecture to the regional Shluchim at Chabad of Double Bay.
