Over 500 people were touched by the Lubavitch and Shul in the Park Purim activities run by Shluchim Rabbi Chaim and Sora Jacobs.
It started with a packed Megilah reading in conjunction with The Shul in the Park organized by Rabbi Mendel Jacobs attended by 100 people followed by a hot Purim buffet in their home.
Over 250 people were visited during the day and given Purim gifts. The day ended with a fantastic dinner and concert. Besides enjoying a fabulous meal singing and dancing with Sholom Jacobsand son Shmuel and the taste of honey trio from London the program also included “who wants to be a millionaire”? hosted by Lewis Geneen.
The contestants were Steven Kayne, Doreen and Dave Gillis and Sora Jacobs. The annual prize winners were Stanley and Maxine Berman, Darren and Kirsten Osdin, Elaine Linderman and top prize was won by Charles Trager.
The concert and dinner was sponsored by the Sholom & Pessy Jacobs family foundation.
