Did you know that 375 girls and 97 teachers in Bais Rivkah proudly carry the name of Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka? That’s an average of 25 girls per grade!
On the significance of naming a child after the Rebbetzin, the Rebbe said, “…We can demonstrate that her children are alive,’ by our taking a lesson from her conduct, and conducting ourselves in her spirit, in a manner of self-sacrifice.
“This is even more so when naming a child after her, and training the child to follow her example. After all, this is the most basic aspect of ‘her children are alive, so too is she alive…’”
The Rebbetzin had no children of her own, yet when a child visiting her at home asked her, “Where are your children?” she answered that the Chasidim were her children. In the classrooms and hallways of Bais Rivkah, you can see hundreds of her children bearing her name and embodying her legacy and values.
