44th Siyum Harambam to Take Place at the Armory

In a significant announcement for Anash and Temimim worldwide, the International Rambam Celebration Committee has announced that the 44th completion of the daily Rambam study cycle will be celebrated at the historic Bedford Union Armory – Crown Heights, Brooklyn, on Sunday, 2 Adar 5785 (March 2, 2025).

The daily study of Rambam’s Mishneh Torah, initiated by the Rebbe, has become a unifying force in Jewish communities worldwide, with thousands participating in the three-chapter-per-day track alongside the parallel Sefer Hamitzvos study cycle.

In a particularly meaningful connection, this year’s Siyum falls during the month of Adar, which the Rebbe highlighted as especially significant. The second Rambam cycle concluded on Friday, 26 Adar Rishon 5746. In the sicha of 15 Shevat, discussing the upcoming Siyum, the Rebbe explained that Adar, described in the Megilah as a time when Layehudim haysa orah, “the Jews had light” — referring to Torah study — perfectly complements the joy of completing the Rambam’s comprehensive work. This timing amplifies the celebration, aligning with the month’s theme of marbim b’simcha, increased joy.

While the current cycle concludes on Erev Shabbos, 30 Shevat — the first day of Rosh Chodesh Adar — this year’s celebration has been scheduled for Sunday, 2 Adar, to allow for a more elaborate commemoration, following the Rebbe’s guidance from previous cycles, including in the above-referenced sicha.

The Bedford Union Armory venue, situated near the heart of Crown Heights, is expected to accommodate the large crowds anticipated for this milestone event. The celebration welcomes anashim, nashim, v’taf — men, women, and children to participate in this momentous occasion.
