Miriam’s Motherhood Center continues to expand its list of services and programs to cater to the mothers of the Crown Heights community.
Here are a few new ones that are taking place at the Motherhood Center and may be a good fit for you or someone you know.
Helping Your Child Grow
A parent education workshop
With Dr. Robin Akselrud OTD, OTR/L
Promoting your child’s development during their first years of life is crucial.
This workshop will teach practical, hands-on strategies and techniques to enhance your child’s development.
In a small group setting together with your child, you will learn empowering skills, including:
– Infant massage
– How to promote developmental milestones
– Sensory & behavioral strategies
– How to identify red flags
– How to create and implement routines
– How to prevent common injuries
Infant Group
Newborns-one year olds and their moms
The 4 part workshop begins Tuesday, January 4, 9:15 AM
Toddler Group
1-3 year olds and their moms
The 4 part workshop begins Tuesday, January 4, 10:30 AM
The cost of the class is $100, 25% off for members.
Scholarship funds are also available upon request.

Crafts, Messy Play, & Sensory Fun
You picked up your little one from playgroup.
You still have 3 hours until dinner time. Where will you go and what will you do?
Miriam’s Motherhood Center now offers Crafts, Messy Play, & Sensory Fun, Monday through Thursday from 1 PM to 5 PM.
It’s a great way to entertain your children and introduce them to fun activities while keeping the mess out of your house! For mothers and children ages 2-5 years old. Children are welcome to enjoy the indoor playroom as well.

Such a fabulous service for the community. I’m a Bubby but went to see the Center. It is so elegant a true oasis, relaxing and beautifully done.
It’s really a gift to young mothers to be able to hang out together, while their children play.

If you haven’t seen it yet – take a tour. I personally love the lounge with it’s beautiful leather bound sefarim and siddurim. Worth going just to daven there in the peaceful and luxurious atmosphere.
