After a great success 3 years ago, Junior N’shei of Crown Heights is again launching a 4 week series focusing uniquely on Kashrus that is open to women of all ages.
Ever thought you knew the basics, but then forgot what to do?
With speakers who are experienced in their field, and up to date, the classes in this series will focus on the meaning of kashrus and all of its practicalities. From hechsheirim to bug checking, basar v’chalav, pas yisroel, and practical halacha for the kosher consumer, this series is geared to provide a well-rounded knowledge about all you need to know!
Some more of the topics will include:
– Restaurants
– Creating your own Kashrus standard
– Our standards as Chassidim
– Understanding what hechsheirim are needed for different foods
– Bug checking: deciphering the facts from the myths
– Checking vs. cleaning
– Basar V’Chalav: how that applies to your sinks, oven, pots, knives, and sharp foods
Each class will be followed with an opportunity to ask questions, and get answers. Doors open at 8:15, and the program will begin 8:30 promptly.
With the generous sponsorship of the OK Community Education Initiatives Fund, these classes are open to women of all ages free of charge! Junior N’shei would also like to thank Moshe and Faige Rubashkin for opening their home to host this series!
