Last week the Talmidim of Yeshiva Beis Menachem of Manalapan NJ, were tested for Semicha by Rabbi Mordechai S. Ashkenazi, chief Rabbi of Kfar Chabad.
As customery for Rabbonim to spend the Yom Tov of Shavuos in 770, after Yom Tov Rabbi Ashkenazi made a trip to Manalapan where he tested the Bochurim on Hilchos Melicha.
After the test Rabbi Ashkenazi remarked, “Every time I come the Bochurim impress me more and more.”
Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Levi Y. Schapiro, reflected that he is very proud of all of his Talmidim and their accomplishments, and is looking forward to even more accomplishments in the years to come.
In addition to learning for Semicha, the Bochurim play an important role in bringing a Yiddishe and Chassidishe atmosphere to the local community, through their weekly Mivtzoim, learning with Baalei Batim, and the Mishmor youth program.
Yeshiva Beis Menachem is a project of Chabad of Western Monmouth County under the direction of head Shliach Rabbi Boruch Chazanow.

Rabbi Ashkenazi is a true fire,
I’d say he is THE senior Chabad Chossid of the world today.
Kudos to him, he lives and breathes Torah, and does great work.
