Day 2 of the 6th Annual Kinus Mechanchos Chabad held in Stamford, Connecticut, started with many options for the 350 educators and teachers to rejuvenate b’gashmius uv’ruchnius, last week.
IT began with an extended breakfast, a Chassidus shiur from Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky, the guest speaker from Israel and was followed by another 20 sessions and workshops, in addition to the workshops and Banquet of the previous day.
Workshop presenters included Mrs. Sara Morozow, Mrs. Hadassa Shemtov, Rabbi Yossi Chesney, Mrs. Nechamy Segal, Mrs. Devora Krasnianski, Mrs. Chanie Baron, Mrs. Natalie Rice, Chaya Zirkind, Mrs. Shterni Ginsburg and Mrs. Dena Gorkin, covering topics from the sublime to the practical, such as differentiating instruction, Chassidishe Chinuch, accessing school funding and much more.
Panel discussions added educators such as Morah Chani Brod, Mrs. Nechama Laber, Mrs. Kessem Mia Hetsroni and Mrs. Bracha Landa to the mix, contributing diverse perspectives on “Internalizing Chassidus” and “Teaching About Moshiach.”
Mrs. Shana Teichtel, member of the Vaad Hakinus and principal of Bais Rivkah High School in Crown Heights, commented: “The Kinus successfully integrated the ideals of Chinuch al Taharas Hakodesh with practical teaching methodologies. The topics that were explored were so relevant and meaningful. We were informed and educated, empowered and inspired, at the same time.”
In keeping with the Kinus theme of Menucha, Sheina Greenberg of Eucalyptus Spa offered her trademark “Spa Parties’ with mini facials, and Dr. Oshra Cohen gave educators tools for resilience themselves while addressing anxiety in our students.
Over delicious spreads by Turk Catering, Chani Katzman taught a Sicha of the Rebbe at lunch, and Mrs. Tzirl Goldman gave Mechanchos blessings for success at the send-off dinner. The day concluded with a hilarious comedy video produced by Mrs. Chana Greenberg, with a parody of teaching on Zoom.
“Above and beyond,” “I enjoyed every minute,” and “magical” were some of the descriptive terms used by teachers in describing the Kinus. As one participant put it, “The comedy skit was such a great way to end the event – there’s nothing like going home with tears of laughter.”

Nothing was forgotten. The special touches were noticed and appreciated.
I never enjoyed myself so much! and left with a lot of new information.
i learned a lot from your creativity, and way of teaching our kids in school, at home.
