Despite forcasts of rain 3,000 people from across the Jewish spectrum participated in the lag B’omer festivities organized and run by the bochurim of Yeshivas Lubavitch Manchester.
In the weeks before Lag B’omer all the local schools participated in a competition where the grand winner of a Wii and the runner up were drawn at the Lag B’omer rally.
Rabbi Shmully Brown from Chabad of Liverpool was the MC and representatives of each of the local schools came up to say one of the 12 Torah Pesukim.
Hundreds of children signed up for a letter in a Sefer Torah and Tzivos Hashem.
The carnival was followed by a community BBQ, for all the Baalei batim who are visited every friday on Mivtzoim. The BBQ ended with a fabrengen with Rabbi Yossi Chazan.
