There was standing room only as over 300 women attended an event, hosted by Mikvah.org at Lubavitcher Yeshiva Crown Street, featuring the husband and wife team of Dr. Scott Chudnoff and his wife Mrs. Rivki Chudnoff.
Each of the first 200 attendees received a beautiful, colorful, long pearl necklace donated by Leah Gniwisch of Delmar Jewelers.
Dr. Chudnoff, MD, MSc, a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist holding the faculty rank of Chair of the Hugh K. Miller, MD, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stamford Health, spoke on the basics of intimacy, clarifying the wide range of ‘normal’ and how it differs for every individual.
Rivki Chudnoff, PT, MSPT, a licensed pelvic floor therapist who received her degrees from Sterns College, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. As a member of the APTA Section on Women’s Health and the International Pelvic Pain Society, Rivki spoke clearly and definitively on common issues that affect women, assuring that these issues can be addressed and dealt with in a positive manner.
Both professionals stressed the importance of women taking care of their own health. They made it quite clear that help is out there for any who may need it. Do not suffer in silence! If things are not as you feel they should be, get help! This clearly emphasizes the fact that, as women, we tend to take care of everyone else and forget to take care of ourselves.
MC for the evening was the inimitable Mrs. Keren Blum, Shlucha to Columbia University. Mrs. Blum brought her own expertise and warm words to shine on the evening. An excellent dvar Torah, combined with her wise compilation and presentation of the vast amount of questions at the end of the lectures, truly made the evening memorable in every way!
“Thank you Mikvah.org for another wonderful evening!” exclaimed one attendee, “Thank you for offering needed content in such a beautiful and inspiring way!”
“The couples’ presentations were a great variety coming from two completely different perspectives,” claimed one young woman, “Rivki was so knowledgeable, rambunctious and she connected to the ladies on a very real level. What a treat!”
“Although I usually do not like going out at night, I made an exception because of the importance of the topic,” wrote one attendee. “The evening was a very informative and engaging event. The two doctors were great…I learned a lot, and was pleased to discover the huge amount of resources that have available on mikvah.org. I am looking forward to more mikvah.org events!”
Mikvah.org thanks those who organized and set up the event, a stellar programming team featuring Mrs. Devorah Leah Eilenberg and Mrs. Kraindy Klein.
