“Pesach in New England” promised to satisfy the whims and desires of discriminating kosher travelers looking for a breathtaking Northeastern locale to celebrate Pesach.
And it seems like they did just that.
Some 300 people – families and young couples – spent the holiday at the award winning Topnotch Resort and Spa nestled on 120 acres in Stowe Vermont, one of the most picturesque villages in America
“Pesach in New England” was a new collaborative effort between the experienced culinary team of Greenwald Caterers in Lakewood, NJ, and Bruce Backman, logistical coordinator of the “National Jewish Retreat,” the Jewish Learning Institute’s (JLI) celebrated summer learning vacation.
Guests were treated to a memorable and flawlessly run Strictly Kosher Pesach complete with Uplifting Prayer Services, Stimulating Lectures, Exhilarating Children’s Activities, Superb Entertainment and of course, the Finest in Gourmet Cuisine.
Their Scholar In Residence was Professor Rabbi Lawrence Schiffman of Yeshiva University, a specialist in the Dead Sea Scrolls, Judaism in Late Antiquity, the history of Jewish law, and Talmudic literature.
Leading the davening they has the Texas born Chazzan Zalman Traxler who captured and inspired the hearts of all who heard his sweet, tenor voice.
On one of the nights, guests enjoyed a concert with Sholom Jacobs, a regular at Chabad of Five Towns, NY, who developed a love and appreciation for music at a very young age and nurtured it into a singing and chazzanus career.
FOOD WAS AMAZING!
yes this IS during peasach i was THERE!!!!!!!!! y arent there pictures of the hotels???????/ iwant to see my hotel room room 233!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
especially the ones of the hard working counselors
Having attended 12 other Pesach programs in the past (Palm Springs, Miami, Bonaventure FL, Arizona, Italy, Malta…) I must say we were so impressed. Bruce Backman didn’t miss a note. Passed around rack of lamb, walked around at every meal pouring expensive wines. EVERY YOMTOV MEAL WAS SERVED INDIVIDUALLY AT TABLES WITH WAITSTAFF AND MENUS – not a one fleishig buffet style lunch or dinner! And the breakfasts with waffles and pancakes. I never even ate CHOMETZ that tasted so good. So despite some crummy weather we loved it. The towering mountains, rushing streams, and crisp country air allowed for… Read more »

Thank you Bruce for this wonderful Pesach. It was such excellent experience. We can’t wait to go next year. We met great people there and enjoyed every moment of it. The camp for our daughter was great, thanx to the counselors. I can’t even think for one bad thing, everything was amaizing, even the bad weather didn’t buzzer us, because Bruce made sure we all happy. Now we have to loose all this weight. We couldn’t stop eating all the great food. If you have to choose where to go next year, this is the only place to go. Thumbs… Read more »
