After the successful launch of “Connection Point,” an overwhelming number of schools expressed interest in joining the program this school year. “We are very excited to welcome all schools joining our program, helping children connect to the Rebbe in a new, relatable, and exciting way,” announced Rabbi Levi Plotkin, the program’s director.
Since the official launch of Connection Point several weeks ago, over 30 schools applied to participate in this innovative program, created by JEM and Tzivos Hashem. “From the moment the new program was introduced to to the public, we heard instant interest and feedback, and responded immediately,” says Plotkin.
As any educator knows, keeping a group of children engaged during class can be challenging at times. During the pilot process, the new program was tested in a number of boys’ and girls’ schools, aiming to address ways to connect with kids in different countries.
Rabbi Sholom Heidingsfeld, from Cheder Menachem LA was shocked to see how students responded during the pilot. “Wow! The kids are all focused, listening, and writing down the answers. I don’t think I’ve ever seen something like this before!”
In London, the reaction was similar, “I’m so happy you are doing this. There are no words. This is the best project ever,” said Mrs. Esther Kesselman of the London Lubavitch Girls Primary School.
In its first expansion round, the Chanukah program will be launched in seventeen schools from Los Angeles to London, Toronto to Pittsburgh.
