On Monday night, Yud Alef Nissan, 100 women gathered near the Rebbe’s Ohel for a Farbrengen and final class of a 30-day project to learn the Rebbe’s letters with Rabbi Shais Taub.
For the past 30 days, tens of thousands of Jews all over the world have learned letters from the Rebbe responding to people just like us. The learning has deepened the connection to the Rebbe for the 50 communities, 25 schools and countless households who applied the lessons to their daily lives.
To celebrate this accomplishment and the grand day of Yud Aleph Nissan, organizers arranged a Farbrengen for women during which the last letter was taught by Rabbi Taub.
The event gathered women from far and near, from as close as Crown Heights, as well as New Haven, CT, Easthampton, NY, Delaware, and as far as Pittsburgh and Chicago.
Before the class, a farbrengen was led by Manhattan Shlucha Mrs. Chani Krasnianski along with music led by Mrs. Rivka Krinsky and Brielle Ester Dahan.
Afterwards, Rabbi Taub spoke about the idea of 11 Nissan as a birthday for all of us.
“A birthday is a day of personal stock taking. The Rebbe’s birthday is a day when every one of us in this generation has to ask ourselves where we are up to and what more we can do to perfect the world,” said Rabbi Taub.
He then shared a message from a michtav klali of 5726 about emulating the qualities of the Rebbe in our own lives.
Finally, the culmination of the evening came about as Rabbi Taub learned the thirtieth and final letter of the 30 Letters in 30 Days initiative. The letter spoke about the importance of teaching our children to be strong and proud and not to make compromises.
The women who participated shared how much they had enjoyed the 30 days of learning, and felt so connected to it and the relevance to their lives.
Rabbi Taub concluded that there would be an announcement coming soon, with Hashem’s help, about the continuation of the study of Igros.
