4 Schools Team Up to Provide Upgraded Camp Experience for Boys

Oholei Torah, United Lubavitcher Yeshiva, TT Ocean Parkway and Cheder Chabad of Monsey have teamed up with CGI Chayolei in Lackawaxen, PA to provide an upgraded and affordable camp experience for boys this summer.

A joint letter from the 3 Yeshivos has been sent out to parents announcing the new initiative.

Dear Parents שיחיו,
We are happy to announce an exciting initiative between three Moisdos Chinuch: Oholei Torah, United Lubavitcher Yeshiva, and Cheder Chabad of Monsey together with CGI Chayolei. We are committed to upgrading the summer camp experience in a way that aligns with our shared values and responsibilities toward our students and their families.

This summer we are proud to endorse CGI Chayolei, for students who wish to attend a summer overnight program. The camp will continue to build on their successful summer program, delivering to the students a robust and exciting summer experience; with an additional emphasis this summer on addressing the Yeshivas’ request to make camp more affordable for parents while also upgrading the standard and quality of the chinuch.

Registration for CGI Chayolei will open on Yud Tes Teves, January 19th. The exclusive camp rate for children from our moisdos will be $2,000 per month or $4,000 for the full summer, no hidden fees. Additionally, you can be assured that every Talmid who registers within the first two weeks will not be turned away due to lack of space.

As Yeshivos, we recognize that our responsibility as Mechanchim extends beyond “academics” and the “academic year”. We have an אחריות and mandate from the Rebbe to provide and facilitate proper Chinuch year-round, (see Sichos of 12 Tammuz 5724 & 5745 and Igros #3533 & #5495). It is crucial that our talmidim spend their summer months in a program that is being run with experienced and mature Mechanchim that understand the needs of each child, how to navigate complex situations that can arise, and ensuring the wellbeing of each talmid.

As part of this initiative, we are proud to share that in addition to a great group of bochurim serving as staff and head staff there will be five dedicated married Mechanchim and their families from our yeshivas who will be moving to camp for the summer to lead the programs and ensure that they maintain the highest standards of chinuch.

These experienced and dedicated Mechanchim, will ensure that the program is run smoothly and responsibly, creating a positive structure, caring for the wellbeing of each talmid and setting meaningful goals in Limmud Hatorah, and a robust Chassidishe atmosphere. All the while maintaining the fun and excitement of camp that the talmidim anticipate.

Over the past few years, a tremendous amount has been invested in upgrading CGI Chayolei’s grounds to provide an exceptional experience for the children. This year alone, an additional $1.5 million is being invested in the camp grounds. These upgrades include brand-new, state-of-the-art bunkhouses, a new modern mikvah, and new shower house, ensuring top-tier facilities for all campers. These improvements complement the camp’s already beautiful grounds, and recently completed upgrades of a state-of-the-art canteen, professional-grade turf & sports fields, indoor gym and game room, in addition to the existing expansive array of basketball, baseball, and hockey fields, all set along the scenic Delaware River.
