24 restaurants — topping last year’s total of 20 — from across Brooklyn, from Crown Heights to Borough Park to Marine Park — are participating in the 2nd Annual Kosher Restaurant Week.
Organized by the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the week-long celebration of kosher cuisine began on Sunday, January 11 and runs will run through Motzoei Shabbos, January 17.
As part of Kosher Restaurant Week, certain participating eateries will offer fixed menus at a fixed price, while others will provide patrons with a complimentary glass of wine, appetizer or dessert.
“Brooklyn has some of the finest kosher food in the world, so it only makes sense that it has its own restaurant week,” said Carlo Scissura, President and CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce.
“Food brings cultures together, and this festival will introduce kosher cuisine to people of all ethnicities from across Brooklyn. I can’t wait to visit some of these restaurants, and I encourage all Brooklynites to do the same. L’chaim!”
“Brooklyn kosher restaurants are locally owned and have that true Brooklyn spirit, said Elan Kornblum, President and Publisher of Great Kosher Restaurants Magazine who helped coordinate the promotion.
“Kosher Restaurant Week will put all the terrific Kosher culinary options in Brooklyn on full display, and I look forward to patronizing as many restaurants as I can,” said Gil Cygler, owner of Allcar Rent A Car.
