I thank you for your personal recollections of that painfull day and those very difficult times. I, for one remember them well. Our Rebbe taught us to react with Torah, Avodah ,and Gemillas Chasadim. Sadness is not a Chassidic Midah This is not what our Rebbe taught us for decades. This is not what our Rabbeim have taught us for centuries. Apropos for the very difficult situation we find ourselves now. In the merit of us all and especially those that need gezunt. This is a day to realise that everything the Rebbe thought us during the nesius is in our hand like the rebbe told 11 months prior to 27 adar that it is now in our hands to bring moshiach.This is a day to SMILE and realise how close moshiach is especially with everything going in the world now. We know that b’nissan nigalu! (But Chas ve’slalom for everyone to shed a tear!) Moshiach now!
