An impressive crowd of 2,000 people gathered on Monday night at the House of Mutuality event space in the heart of Paris, France, to celebrate the Rosh Hashana of Chassidus.
Organized by Beth Lubavitch of Paris, it was the central farbrengen in the country marking Yud Tes Kislev, yartzeit of the Maggid of Mezritch and day of liberation of the Alter Rebbe, founder of Chabad-Lubavitch.
Participants heard words of Torah and chassidus from Chief Rabbi of Paris Michel Gugenheim; Rabbi Yosef Dovid Frankfurter, Rov of Adass Yereim in Paris; Rabbi Eliahou Altabé, Director of Beth Habad Marseille 8ème; Rabbi Guedalya Nisenbaum, and Rabbi Binyomin Mergui.
Beth Lubavitch Director Rabbi Mendel Azimov concluded the evening with sharing words of inspiration. He also noted that “unfortunately, not everyone could enter the room this year but that next year a larger room will be rented.”
Yossef Brahmi‘s orchestra played Chassidic nigugim accompanied by singer Yoni Chlomo, who came especially from Israel. Haïm Sudry sang the traditional “Pada Bechalom Nafshi” with Cheder Boy’s Choir of Lubavitch of Paris.

One of the most unspoken success stories of Chabad is its success in Paris. Thousands of Baalei Teshuva now already בלע”ה in its third generation, at least. Fiery chassidim! Rabbi Muleh Azimov ע”ה, unassumingly blazed this trail.
