200 Kids at Cape Town Camp

Camp Gan Israel Cape Town, part of the global CGI network, concluded this Friday after a hugely successful 2 weeks where over 200 kids attended.

Boys and girls aged 4-11 were entertained for 2 weeks that were jam packed with skilled sports coaches, exciting activities and great trips, while at the same time davening and learning fundamental Jewish lessons and ethics. Many then took this home and shared what they had learnt with their families and friends to help spread yiddishkeit beyond the grounds of CGI Cape Town.

Activities included dog shows, sand art, Gan Izzys Got Talent, Drum Cafe, Gan Izzy Dance Off, Ratanga Junction and much more.

The camp run by Rabbi Mendel and Avigail Popack, and Rabbi Levi and Rosie Popack, has been a huge success for many years. It continues to service the families of Cape Town bringing much needed boosts of Yiddishkeit to many children and their families. The camp continues to grow every year with the camp being fully booked this year 3 weeks before the first day.
