Hopefully, the community will do it part to get you started on your journey together. We were so young, our parents refused to make our wedding. My mother bom gave in and had a tiny reception in the house after a,strange ceremony in a reform Rabbi’s living room. Everything we owned we bought ourselves. Do I miss having a big fancy wedding? Not one second. What I have is a strong and beautiful 53 marriage to my best friend and partner in life. My oldest daughter felt sorry for me and told me her wedding was mine.
