Two thieves were arrested Friday afternoon in Crown Heights after being wanted for burglary and package theft.
The first arrest occurred at approximately 1:45 PM when Shmira members on patrol recognized a known burglar with an outstanding warrant near Sterling Place and Troy Avenue. They immediately alerted NYPD officers who took her into custody.
Shortly after at 2:30 PM, Shmira responded to reports of a suspicious individual and caught him in the act of stealing packages. Members contacted the NYPD and located the property owner, leading to the suspect’s arrest. Notably, Shmira had facilitated this same individual’s arrest several weeks earlier on warrant charges.
