A 13 year old boy was robbed of his electric scooter at knifepoint by three black teenagers near Empire Blvd and Troy Avenue on Monday, at approximately 4pm.
According to the victim, the teenagers approached him and demanded that he hand over the scooter, with one of them brandishing a knife.
Shmira and police were immediately called and arrived on the scene quickly but were unable to locate the perpetrators.

Just to keep score, Every day there are:
Muggings and armed robbery, of elderly, women and kids
Packages stolen from our very doorstep
Cars vandalized
Dangerous car and motorcycle accidents, where the drivers flee
Dangerous homeless housing, without care for our safety
Citi bike racks taking up our parking spaces.
In many cases, there are clear photos and videos of the perpetrators, yet the police do nothing.
But, I feel so much better after seeing our community “leaders” smiling in photos with police officials (obvious sarcasm and frustration).

To just give them whatever they want – a scooter – or any other thing – can be replaced !!
That this happens in broad daylight, on busy streets, and goes uncontested is just insane. We need a good old fashioned mob to form any time this sort of thing happens.

Crown Heights unfortunately has no community council to stand up for us. No leaders that do anything. The city bikes, the mugging, the stealing packages, the shelters, etc. Everything continues to happen with a blind eye. It wouldn’t fly in other communities.

You well NEVER see someone from Boropark or Williamsburg come to the CHJCC for help, but you will certainly find countless people from crown heights daily going to the UJO in Williamsburg or to Boropark CC for help bc they know that’s where they’ll actually get the help they need, they know & we all know that they certainly won’t get that help from the CHJCC.
