A crowd of 1000 people participated int he annual Yud Tes Kislev Farbrengen organized by the Heichal Menachem organization in the Boro Park section of Brooklyn.
Marking the yartzeit of the Maggid of Mezritch and the liberation day of the Alter Rebbe, participants gathered in the Tiferes Rivkah hall for a Melave Malka this past Motzoei Shabbos.
The annual evening is donated by R’ Sholom Ber Drizin of Crown Heights. It was emceed by Rabbi Zev Katz and accompanied by Chabad niggunim played by Yossi Cohen and the Kapeliya choir.
Rabbi Moshe Wolfson, Mashgiach Ruchani of Mesivta Torah Vodaath and Rav of Beis Medrash Emunas Yisrael in Brooklyn, spoke about the need to welcome every Jew.
The guest speaker was Rabbi Yechiel Kalmenson, Rosh Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch in Burnoy, France, who spoke about the need to learn Chassidus in order to understand Gemara and Shulchan Aruch.
Among the speakers were Heichel Menachem’s head Rabbi Leibel Altein, the Rebbe’s Mazkir Rabbi Leibel Groner, Oholei Torah Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yisroel Friedman, Rabbi Nachman Yosef Twersky, Rabbi Peretz Bluming, the Rebbe of Chernovitz and others.
Wishing the Boro Park chassidim to continue to learn and draw strength fromchassidus Chabad and the Chabadsters to draw hashpaah from the straight forward lives of these chassidim.
