As thousands of women prepare to unite in celebration of our connection to Chassidus, we are reminded that this moment is possible only because of the Rebbe’s far-reaching vision.
In one of the most personal and painful moments of the Rebbe’s life, he chose to create something for us – a testament to how deeply he valued the strength of every Jewish woman.
On Chof Bais Shvat 5748, the very day that the Rebbetzin passed away, the Rebbe established Keren Hachomesh, to carry forth the life of the Rebbetzin.
Keren Hachomesh is a fund to uplift and educate women and promotes the values that the Rebbetzin embodied. In her unique and unassuming manner, she was a role model of the powerful role of the Jewish woman. From the very beginning, Keren Hachomesh has been funding the activities that build us as Nshei Chabad today.
Through providing support for Kallahs, assistance to single mothers and educational opportunities, building Mikvaos and supporting women’s programs around the world, Keren HaChomesh highlights the value that each one of us play in our roles.
Keren Hachomesh has been a quiet lifeline – stepping in during vulnerable moments, uplifting women with dignity and empowering them to stand strong. They exist because the Rebbe saw the deep strength and power within every Jewish woman. The ability to nurture families, inspire today’s children and transform our generation from one of Galus to Geulah.
The gathering of the One Hour Farbrengen is what the Rebbe envisioned. We must look at ourselves with the same confidence and belief that the Rebbe has in us, and to carry that mission forward.
Thank you Keren Hachomesh for making this event possible.
