Yeshivas Lubavitch Tzfas
Over 5,000 donors joined together to raise ₪93 million and counting not just to honor the past, but to secure the future of Yeshivas Lubavitch Tzfas. This campaign is ensuring that every bochur has a place to grow, learn, and thrive. The legacy continues and so does the mission.
In the months following the passing of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Wilchansky OBM, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Lubavitch Tzfas, the loss was deeply felt. Mourned as a mechanech and a father to many, his absence left a void, but it also awakened a response. Thousands came together to carry forward the mission he devoted his life to: building a yeshiva where every bochur has a place, and every bochur is built.
Over 5,000 donors have joined together, raising more than ₪93 million and counting, forming what has become the largest campaign of its kind in Chabad history. But beyond the numbers was a message: this isn’t just a tribute. It’s a continuation.
From the earliest years, one of the values that shaped the yeshiva was the belief that every bochur deserves a place. Not just a desk, but a real opportunity. A chance to grow, to belong, and to be built. Rabbi Wilchansky lived that ideal through the way the yeshiva functioned. And in the wake of his passing, that value was turned into a clear, long-term plan: to expand the yeshiva’s capacity to 1,500 talmidim, invest in infrastructure, and create a strong foundation for continued growth both physically and spiritually.
The campaign was launched with a clear goal: to secure the future of the yeshiva and give the ability for every Tamim to grow. It reflected a commitment to continue building Temimim with strength, bochurim grounded in learning, guided in values, and a Hiskashrus to the Rebbe. The yeshiva’s doors would remain open, and its reach would expand.
That message came to life on 21 Tammuz, when over 2,000 people gathered in Binyanei HaUma in Yerushalayim. Alumni from across generations stood alongside parents and supporters. Emotions ran deep. People shared stories, memories, and moments. It wasn’t just nostalgic, it was connection. The bond between the yeshiva and its talmidim was never theoretical, and it didn’t fade. It lives on.
The atmosphere in the room was clear and honest. No one needed to be told what the yeshiva meant to them. They knew. And now was the time to step forward.
Thousands donated, many in small amounts, some in larger ones but all with a sense of ownership. This was not a campaign driven by a handful of individuals. It was built by a community that believes in the mission and chose to take responsibility for it.

“Throughout this journey, we saw with our own eyes the power of the Rebbe’s shlichus and the fulfillment of his brachos. The campaign was marked by clear Hashgacha Elyona and success beyond all expectations or limits,” shared the yeshiva’s Hanahala. “With Hashem’s help, in the coming days we will continue raising funds to reach the full goal of ₪101,000,000, enabling the yeshiva to fully implement its growth plan.”
Now, with the campaign nearing completion, the yeshiva is moving forward. New dormitories and classrooms are being planned. Staff is being expanded. Capacity is growing. But the focus remains the same: to preserve the spirit that shaped the yeshiva from the beginning a place that sees each talmid for who he is and who he can become.
Here’s a concise version that keeps the emotion and key points:
“We didn’t wait for the campaign to finish to begin,” said the yeshiva’s Hanhala. “First round of enovations are already underway to expand our space for new bochurim this Elul Zman.”
“We thank the thousands of alumni and friends who made this possible giving the yeshiva the strength to grow and prepare a proper makom Torah for every bochur.”
This campaign laid the foundation for the next decade. It marked a turning point not just in what was raised, but in what was affirmed. That the work continues. That the values remain. That the responsibility is shared.
And that the building of Temimim doesn’t stop. It grows.

Those numbers are unbelievably fantastic.
Undoubtedly, Chabad’s future are in the twin holy lands of Crown Heights and Eretz Yisroel.
