The Shulchan Aruch – the Code of Jewish Law – is what gives rhyme and reason to every Jewish person’s daily life, their Orach Chaim. This is why the Chachomim said “One who studies Halacha every day is guaranteed a portion in Olam Haboh.”
That being said, it’s a huge job and undertaking to learn, know, and understand all the 4 sections of the Shulchan Aruch.
The Kitzur Shulchan Aruch is the most widely known and widely used sefer for help in this area – a concise summary of all the pertinent Halachos relevant to our daily lives.
Now, the Halacha division of OnlineSmicha.com, has published a comprehensive review, in question and answer format, of the entire Kitzur Shulchan Aruch.
Titled Helichos Olam, the book as 2 versions – one with and one without the Alter Rebbe’s rulings which are followed by Chabad chassidim. The new sefer is perfect for all levels of learners – from young students in cheder, to Rabbonim who already giving out halachic rulings.
“This is a tremendous tool with which to reach the conclusion of each and every Halacha,” said Rabbi Nachman Wilhelm, the author and dean of Online Smicha.
This invaluable sefer was made possible by a grant from Crown Heights businessman Yerachmiel Jacobsom in memory of his late father who would always encourage his children to learn the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch.
“It is presented in a most beautiful form, easy to understand and use,” commented Rabbi Sholom Binyomin Ginsberg.
