A full crowd gathered for a festive pre-Chanukah bash hosted by Brooklyn’s newly-elected Borough President, Eric Adams, held at Borough Hall Monday evening.
After guests greeted each other and mingled, they were welcomed by Borough President Adams, followed by an address by Ambassador Ido Aharoni, Consul General of the State of Israel.
The evening’s MC was Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Jacobson, who kept the crowd laughing and the evening running smoothly, while sharing a few insights about the story of Chanukah and the Jewish people.
The Borough President then honored individuals who are making a difference to the Jewish community in Brooklyn and beyond through their activism and dedication to local organizations and causes.
Singer Eli Marcus entertained, performing popular Jewish songs for the crowd, who then enjoyed a buffet dinner.
The event was coordinated by Adams’ Jewish liaison Mr. Joel Eisdorfer.
