Chabad of Liverpool Universities directed by Rabbi Shmuli and Tzivia Brown erected a Sukkah, situated in the prime location of University Square in Liverpool U.K. which was seen daily by thousands of students who attend the four universities in the city.
Many students, young professionals, academics and professors came into the Sukkah to shake the Arba Minim and have a bite to eat and drink.
Amongst the many people who visited the Sukkah, CEO of AEPi Andy Borans was amazed at the Jewish pride openly exhibited. A Jewish fire-fighter stopped his truck in the middle of the street to come and shake the lulav and esrog and show his colleagues how proud he was of his Yiddishkeit.
Hundreds of students learned about the Jewish traditions and conversed with Rabbi Brown on a wide range of topics. A Muslim from Saudi Arabia who had chatted with Rabbi Shmuli the day earlier came back the next day to the Sukkah with a gift and a nice card expressing his Sukkos wishes to Jews globally and hopes of world peace.
Rabbi Shmuli and Tzivia Brown also hosted a lively Simchas Beis Hashoieva in the Chabad House with Shisha and Shawarma in the Sukka. The Hakoifois on Simchas Torah was electrifying with students dancing throughout the night with the Sefer Torah.
strengthens us all when we see this.
