Hundreds of families enjoyed a Sukkos Family Fun Day on Monday in Crown Heights on Eastern Parkway.
The event was organized by Rabbi Yossi Bryski, director of OTEG – Oholei Torah Eighth Grade, Rabbi Velvel Karp and Rabbi Zalman Karp, with the assistance of the NYPD 77th Precinct.
Over 2,500 children enjoyed rides, exciting shows by Ben Cohen and Yang Xiao Di, face painting, food and fun.
The reasonably priced event was sponsored by R’ Sholom Ber Drizin , members of Reb Michoel’s Minyan and other sponsors.
Organizers thanked Police Officer Tania Salters, Community Affairs Officer of the 77th Precinct, for her exceptional help in making the event possible.
They also thanked Schneur Zalman Bryski and Yossi Rapp for their help, as well as the 7th and 8th grade boys who ran the rides.

Hi cutie!
Rabbi Velly and Zalmen Karp
Your Kibbud Av V’em is Legendry,
your devotion to the children of our community is tireless.
Kol Hakavod!!!!
Was a beautifully run event. It was apparent how much time, effort, and thought went into it. Thank you Zalmen and Velly Karp for organizing. My children loved it! Thank you to Sholom Ber Drizin and all the other sponsors for making it so affordable. Last year I happened to be in Williamsburg on chol hamoed and they had a very similar fair going on there, only by this fair, each ride cost about three dollars! Everyone involved should be blessed with abundant brochos, with revealed good!
Thank you so much to the organizers!!
Every year as chol ha moed draws near
Fear strikes the hearts of parents everywhere
Children cry for rides and fun
But in this economy six flags and car trips just can’t be done
A family trip to the jewish children’s museum sets us back a hundred dollars
The reality of the situation is easily understood by the scholars
Then all of a sudden this came about
Unlimited rides and shows brought Yiddishe smiles without a doubt
We thank you and wish you overflowing brachot
great pic of your family!

As a CHer who regularly takes my kids to these fairs and events, I want to say THANK YOU. Besides being so affordable, it was very organized, calm, and a true pleasure. A beautiful way to spend chol hamoed. Lots of people worked hard to make it happen and it was much appreciated.
