are you jealous of the few bucks or of the sense of humor which i figure you have neither of.

pathetic
March 27, 2009 11:20 pm

this short film was made for a jewish film festival in melbourne. it was a satire about jews who follow the football in melbourne. it is by no means a true indication of dovber werdiger or lubavitch in melbourne.
it’s a shame the people who read this website and have watched this film are so naive to believe that this is dovber werdiger’s actual behaviour.
bh he has a full beard and follows in the footsteps of his holy grandparents – and thought he’d take a crack at acting!
get a life…

OK So in Aussieland the “chassid” would pray for football. Fine …. So he made a video and entered a contest …..this is entertaining. All ok .. but why the Breslov bumper sticker on his car??????
Even a Bum in Lubavitch knows who to honor! But Nachman?

Ha!
March 26, 2009 3:03 pm

I hope Lubavitchers understand the meaning of SATIRE.

i really dont get it, the point is to show how they’re using Hashem to win to their game? How does anyone think that that’s credible?

To number 6:
They are not the same Shul. The Magen Dovid is from Caulfield Shul, and the Yechi sign is in Yeshiva.

Keep it up Dov!!

A full beard. Hat and jacket. Even on a person who is obviously not such a big chosid. Is it worse than a ” big chosid” with a “nice” beard?

To number 6: maybe the beard etc. Is in zchus of his bube mmaryasha and bube bracha and zaide Zalman

Very few people can relate to the close bond that exists between religion and team sports.
Bravo.

March 26, 2009 2:51 am

This is about someone who idolizes sports and treats sport as a ‘religion’, which is a very common problem with Melbournites and their ‘footy’. This is the exact opposite outlook that Chabad should have towards following sports. Some of these guys idolize their team way too much. Why is his team poster right next to the picture of the Rebbe? Then again what else can you expect from DovBer Werdiger. He has always been known to do crazy things, even in Yeshiva… Besides, if you’re not from Australia there is no way you would understand this video at all. Maybe… Read more »
